Proper Medication

First of all, let me clarify that depression is not an easy problem and it should never be taken lightly.

If you or someone close to you is suffering from depression, you must understand that it is actually a dreaded mental ailment which can wreak havoc in your life.

So first of all, recognize this fact: Depression can cause very serious damage to your life.

So take immediate action and consult a qualified doctor for taking proper medication. It is really really important.

Be Physically Active

Apart from consulting your doctor and discussing with him the problem you are facing on mental front, you must make some important changes in your life.

Your body was not designed to sit idle and indulge in sedentary activities. It was designed to do as much physical work as it can. If you are not doing any physical exercise these days: start now.

If you are suffering from meditation, it is uber important to do some kind of exercise.

Do yoga, aerobic, weights or push ups.

If you can’t do these, at least go for a walk in the morning.

Move your body. Make it do some physical work.

Be Social

Thirdly,  don’t live in a cocoon. Be social.

Being introvert is not bad. But having a few friends is always better than none at all.

Man is a social animal. Being social make us feel worthwhile.

If you can’t go outside, go online. Open a Facebook page, Start twitter or just hang out on zillions of social websites. Make some contact.

Make some friends.

Remember the world is full of bad people. You will find cruel, insensitive, selfish and mean people in every corner of earth.

However, on the other side of coin, you will also find loving, caring, selfless, altruist, sincere, down-to-earth and helpful people on that very corner of earth.

A man or woman with a heart of gold may be only a click away.

Well in essence, go social. Even, if it is in a limited way, go social.

Meditate

Finally, start meditation.

If I tell you the truth, Meditation is just like a prayer.

Meditation may not change the things for you…but it will certainly change YOU for the things.

Meditation helps you understand your true nature.

It helps you realize the banalities of the world. The uselessness of many things you might be craving for today.

It helps you understand the ephemeral character of life.

It teaches you that no matter how dreaded, sad, disappointing and bleak the present circumstances is, in the ultimate analysis ‘THIS TOO WILL PASS’.

Meditation makes you realize this ongoing play of existence called life.

So Meditate.

In conclusion:

To overcome you depression :
