Hi Friends !
Welcome to the current issue of 'The Meditation Weekly' - newsletter
from Meditation
is easy.com.
Well this is our
first issue in 2006. And a bit late too...
You must be aware
that this website Meditation
is Easy.com is run by volunteers who contribute whenever they
have some extra time. That's why you do not get this newsletter
regularly. However, I personally feel that you not even need to get
this on regular basis. This newsletter is a kind of reminder which
intends to remind you to meditate. One you get the message that you
should also meditate apart from managing an extremely busy &
hectic personal (& professional ) life, the purpose of this
newsletter is completed.
And for that to
happen, even a fortnightly (or monthly) reading of this newsletter
is enough.
Well first thing
first.
From the entire staff
of 'Meditation is Easy.com', I wish you a very happy and prosperous
new year.
New year is a time
for introspection and pondering over what we have achieved till now.
What we have achieved - personally, professionally and spiritually.
Think about it . What were the dreams you saw in the beginning of
lat year (2005). Have you realize those dreams ?
If yes, I
congratulate you ! Well done..
And if not, then
....let's dream again.
If you have failed,
then let's make a fresh start. Let's make our failure as stepping
stones for our success.
Let's again make some
resolutions.... that we'll improve ourselves. We'll work hard and
we'll make our life better. We'll do some good deeds this
year...We'll try our best to abandon those habits of last
year...We'll do all we can to make this world a better place.
This is new year and
we can dream...Let's dream and make them true.
And while we do this,
let's not forget that in the ultimate analysis... nothing is going
to matter. We all are just like waves of oceans. For one moment we
are here....the next moment we will not be there. Just like waves...
We all have a limited
life span on earth. No matter how much we earn, how educated we
become and how great our accomplishments are, we all are gong to be
forgotten by generations to come.
Well this is life.
It's always like that.
Wave's destiny is to
merge with the ocean. Wave ends.... the ocean remains.
Let's not
become too serious about life. This is a play - a comic play.
Let's realize our true self by meditation. If you have not done
already, let's make a resolution that we'll meditate daily this
year. We'll spend some time alone everyday. We'll meditate and
attain a true perspective for life.
Regards
Eklavya

Quote of the Week:
"Everybody
can be great.....because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a
college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and
verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul
generated by love. "
- Martin
Luther King Jr.
Here is another
one :
"“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
- Swami Vivekananda
( Famous Indian Spiritual leader of the Hindu religion.
(1863-1902) . 12th Jan was his birthday)

Amusing facts of
the Week.
The
main library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year,
because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the
weight of all the books that would occupy the building !
Here is another
one :
On the eve of
World War II, the US Army ranked, with reserves counted, nineteenth
among the world's armed forces. This placed the US after Portugal-
but ahead of Bulgaria !

Obstacles
We who lived in the concentration camps can remember the
men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their
last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they
offer sufficient proof that everything cn be taken from a man but
one thing :The last of his freedoms - to choose one's attitude in
any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.

Man's Search for Meaning.
